Blue Ribbon’s engine has been used to create and deliver assessments on-line and on paper to students in the CT public schools for several years, but has never been available for parents to purchase for their children to use at home.
"Over the years, we have had many parents call us to see if they could purchase the program for their children to practice for the CMT. Until now it has not been available. Parents are familiar with receiving the CMT reports during the summer, and many will probably know where their child needs extra support. What most parents don’t know is what type of questions are asked on the CMT and what specific skills their child is expected to know at each grade level. This product has been on my wish list for quite some time, so I am really happy that we have been able to create a consumable product for home use. This product is very user friendly, skill specific and most importantly, affordable." said Anna Sturrock, Managing Director.
Parents can purchase a grade and subject specific product from this website. Once the order is processed, a user name and password is set up, the student can log in and select from a number of short, skill specific quizzes. The quizzes will give the student exposure to all the different question types, not just multiple- choice, and cover all the different objectives for the grade level selected. Upon completing the quizzes, the student can review the test, read the feedback for selected responses and try the questions again. Suggested online practice resources are also provided.
Blue Ribbon currently has consumer products available in Math, for grades 3-8, but will be continually adding products to the website as they become available.
